THE CASE OF SALOU, A WORKING METHOD
It is defined the exploratory methodology implemented to, first describe and analyze, and later make a diagnosis of the urban processes behind the decay of the area surrounding the Av Carles Buigas of Salou. Likewise, the exploratory method is supported for complex urban environments where multiple stakeholders take part and little or any references are regarding similar cases. At the same time, this process eases the development of hypothesis for researchers that are not familiar with the context.
Furthermore, the scales of the work are detailed, making reference to the territory, the city and the setting study area. This procedure makes possible to comprehend other values and conditions from the urban complexity as the overlap of activities in the area tourism/city/industry, or the season tourism characteristic that remain empty the area for the most of the year.
