VILLA LUISA   

 

Luisa is a cook and the matriarch of a very close-knit family.

Her semi detached four-storey house was a narrow, dark place. The stairs were claustrophobic and the space uncomfortable.

We removed all the existing elements to leave the place with a rough-and-ready feel. The boxed staircase disappeared to be replaced by a light, transparent hanging stairwell.

The kitchen needed to be the centrepiece, but at the same time it had to be tidy and clean since it was going to become the home’s entrance and main storage space. A mobile magic worktop in the kitchen was the solution!

The rest of the project is all about colour, light and wood.
