MANUELDEFALLA  is a flat located in the upper side of Barcelona and was built in the 60s by a housing cooperative. The building had a  bearing walls structure and as a plus, the added difficulty of the aluminosis pathology.

These facts limited the space and the possibility to demolish some main walls and open to bigger common spaces; however new occupants requirements for multi-spaces together with the flat reduced size made necessary a system where activities would be overlapped.

Suspended ceiling was removed to show the original catalan vault which gives the dwelling a cozy character. The original wooden flooring was repaired and extended contributing to create the home's warm atmosphere.
